This morning, one of my Turo cars was returned in great condition, and the completed trip became number 400.
It seems unreal that I have hosted for hundred key exchanges. It’s a fact.
How has Turo been?
Thanks for asking, Subheading! Turo has been very OK for the last 365-day period, and currently, it’s going well.
2024 was a bad year for Reservations. Even the summer months were weak. Year 2025 is going a lot better, and reservations are picking up pace with how earnings looked in the first quarter of year 2023.
It’s good work to do if you have ADHD.
The problems…come frequently enough and have enough variance that your busy brain will get to check the boxes it needs to stay interested in the work.

The majority of Huntsville neighbors who ask questions about Turo hosting and my experience with profitability are interested in getting into the business. They’re curious about peer to peer car renting.
Right now, is an OK time as any to list your extra vehicle on Turo. To emphasize the modifier I used in the previous sentence: extra vehicle. I do not and will never recommend buying a vehicle to start Turo.
The vehicle you list on Turo will take a month to start paying its own expenses. It’s better for you if those expenses are low.
I say this because I operate where I come out of pocket as little as possible. The goal is to never come out of pocket, but the nature of this business is that fluctuations in earning potential can be unpredictable.
