Thank God she thinks I’m cute

It feels so good that it [My relationship] can feel like this. My Lady and I were chatting about ourselves, and she mentioned she appreciates that she’s attracted to me.

I’m so glad we met when my self-esteem was above sea level. At this moment, I’ll give thanks for her candor and sense of humor.

On Relationships: The What is More Important than the How

I wanted a partner who met me where I was mentally and physically. I think we all do. When she and I have moments like this where we laugh at a completely serious comment one said to the other, I realize I didn’t know a connection between two people could be like this.

I believed it was possible because I got to watch my grandparents and parents. Seeing is believing, as they say. However, it’s a very different set of emotions — a different energy —  when you are bonded with a person so closely you can almost visualize a spiritual tether between you. Love isn’t a strong enough word.

I look at her and see the life I want. The family I want to raise. The goals I’ll materialize. Thank God she thinks I’m cute. 💚
