For years, I thought that I was a documentaries person. I like documentaries, but I don’t love them. In fact, I can take or leave most of them. However, I am uncomfortably obsessed with a very specific kind of program: Scam TV.
Now to be clear, I don’t know yet if a term for this genre of television has been established, so I’ll explain. I like streaming series, films, made for TV dramatization’s, interviews, and similar video productions where an individual or more group scammed their way into into the wallets of other people en masse. I can’t look away from them.
I’m addicted. I love the humor in it. I love the suspense. Hi really love to feel like I can’t believe they got away with it. It’s great. Netflix will continue to take my money probably forever because they are crushing this genre of Scam TV content.
I know Netflix didn’t invent it, but it really feels like they did.
