This weekend, I gave Maddalyn her first comic book — Ironheart Volume 1: Those with Courage. She didn’t want to put down the book.
She read the comic book starring Riri Williams on the drive from Mississippi to Huntsville Friday night using a glow stick. She read more of the comic on the drive back Sunday. Maddalyn didn’t want help with any other words.
She read some to me Sunday morning. Maddalyn is a reading machine, and she wanted to check out two books from the library this weekend. One was about catching the Tooth Fairy😊😊. She is more excited about reading than I could’ve imagined. This is a very cool time.
