On a damp Friday evening, I’m driving to Mississippi to get the kids. An 18 wheeler shifts lanes to let over a very new pickup truck joining highway traffic at a speed of roughly 15 mph slower than the rest of our vehicles.
I sigh at the wave of red brake lights and watch the the late model pickup truck irreverently merge onto highway I-20/59. Telepathically, I tell the driver “Maybe you should get on the highway like you got some sense!”
I laugh to myself because it reminds me of my Dad and one of his favorite rebukes: Act like you got some sense! 😄😂 #classic
