The best part about today is getting to see what your classmates care about. The first half of the 6-week course has been online only. Zoom has been great and all, but there is a little something missing in our connection from not having that face to face interaction, Monday – Friday time.
More so than team projects and open lab time, NSS Demo Day peels back personality curtains a little bit more because these applications are not assignments. My classmates chose to build these apps. That’s the part that’s so cool.
Most of the applications we built to solve a problem. With some, we even had a person in mind who could use the app. Problem solvers!
In their designs, you can see the techniques and features that are important to them. It’s really dope to see the ideas and hear the inspiration. All of that is great. Really! I think the highlight of my day — the other best part — was being reminded that I’m among problem solvers — my people.
