Talking around My Dating App

This time last year, I got an idea for a premium dating app with a unique feature — or gimmick — that I haven’t seen done yet in a dating app. I know it was last year around this time because Google sent me email reminders that the .COM and .APP domains registration payments are due.

Disclaimer: I spent 20 years in a career that required me to have a Top Secret Clearance. I apologize for not openly sharing details about my app idea, but my default level of share information about my ideas is need-to-know. What that means is that you could probably ask me privately to talk about an idea, and I’ll likely late it out completely.

So, about that dating app that I’m not going to talk about…Like most of my ideas, I think it’s brilliant and useful and feasible.

Feasibility is the attribute that’s inspiring me to hang on to the launching idea at least one more year. What makes the model unique is that the technology and resources to make it already exist. In fact, the ingredients are being used in social media — like A LOT.

Something I think would be ironic is that on the journey of building the dating app, I’ll meet a young lady in tech who will take me off the market. Or maybe I’ve seen too many romantic comedies.
