Here are two photos that describe my daughter and my relationship.
The first is where we are at the moment: she defies me as often as possible but still takes comfort in my protection.
The second is the evolution I predict once she eventually understands my disdain for and low tolerance for friction.

…Imagine in the first photo that she just told me she doesn’t like grapes anymore. The muscles in my eyebrows instantly atrophy at each new revelation like this.
