Drake released a 3 track album called Scary Hours 2, and I’m content playing the short album on repeat. I’m not a rapper, but sometimes a beat comes around that I want to write lyrics to.

Writing the lyrics and rapping them isn’t likely something I’ll follow through with. No reason in particular. I’ll just think about the idea for a while, then I’ll move on. You can listen to all 3 tracks in the YouTube clip at the bottom of this post or listen in Apple Music.

Here’s track #1 What’s Next

Drake – What’s Next (Official Lyric Video)

How does anyone not want to rhyme to this beat? It’s like one you’d try to rap as many bars as possible without taking a breathe OR one where you have your Engineer remove/dampen all the breathes from your vocals like Drake clearly did in this track. I’m not hating — to be clear.

The cadence sounds dope, and it’s a sneaky way to make a listener have a hard time rapping along.

Track #2 Wants and Needs (feat. Lil Baby)

Track #2 is the weakest of the 3 beats, but the guest star makes the entire track sickening with his verse. I’ve watched the kid for a while, and in this verse, Lil Baby reminds me why he can’t be lumped into the same category as mumble rappers.

Lil Baby ate this beat with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

He completely spazzes on the song like he had a gun to his head in the booth…Like Jigsaw had him in a death trap that the kid had to completely destroy his verse in order to survive. He snapped like he was just fired from the post office. He spits like he had to give driving directions before his phone cut off from a low battery.

Seriously, Lil Baby ate this beat with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

Track #3 Lemon Pepper Freestyle (ft. Rick Ross)

Ross has a voice where almost anything he says sounds dope whether it’s memorable or not.

By far, the best track on the album features Rick Ross whose voice is a classic that likely narrowed his career choices to Rapper or movie trailer voice-over artist for Suspense-Thriller films. Ross just has a voice – like Jeezy, for example – where almost anything he says sounds dope whether it’s memorable or not.

I didn’t intend for this to be a review. That just shows you how much the music makes me want to write to it. See?!

Bless the YouTuber with a Like. They are one of my new favorite people. Also, don’t expect the links to YouTube to work. Sometimes, YouTube is all “but license and copyright blah blah blah” and hate on fun and stuff.
