I’ve decided to create a Medium.com account for my personal blog posts — subscribe to it here. I’ll have my WordPress posts from this michaelpwright.com automatically create a new Story on Medium after I publish.
There’s some heavy duty workaround work that has to be done in order to get my previous posts to export to Medium, but I’m working on that.
Why Publish on Medium.com
Well, it’s another popular blog space with an already established reputation. Honestly, they just keep improving it. There’s the page speed of the platform. It has a likely friendly format than the desktop version of my website (in its current form as of 10 May 2021).
Of course, it’s an additional source of income because I can monetize posts — especially those about current events. Lastly, it will create backlinks to michaelpwright.com. As both website owner and website developer, I embrace the value of backlinks from reputable sources.
