Last night, I watched the new Mortal Kombat movie. Here’s my full and comprehensive review.
On Mortal Kombat 2021:
- Fighting was legitimate
- Mad Easter eggs and hints throughout
- Kano could handle crowd work, but he’s not ready for a Netflix standup special
- Kung Lao got Wing Chun hands and jokes
- Mileena brought yams to the potluck
- Sonya Blade and Liu Kang were so on point they felt cut out of the game
- Jimmy Olsen playing Jax was fkn JACKED; his arms were believable
- Sub-Zero was that dude and a real problem
- Shang Tsung looked scary but meh
- Best Kabal that could’ve been brought to live action
- Mortal Kombat(2021) is the right amount of corny fan service I expected
- Would recommend to a friend
