I get to take a trip to the Birmingham VA today for an exam. My low back situation has been labeled degenerative arthritis since I retired.
It turns out if you’re not specific enough in your disability claim — including giving page numbers in medical records — then the VA labels the condition whatever they want. That’s something I found out near two years later.
Now with the help of my local Veteran Service Office, I’m getting this and other conditions properly named so I can be accurately compensated.
