As I sit in the lobby of Tennessee Valley Pain Consultants enraged and waiting for a phone call about the referral request that wasn’t submitted last week, I see a wheel chair and wonder if we, human beings, can take credit for the invention.
We’ve always had our favorite yellow star – the sun – and also the moon as inspiration for the circle. What we can take credit for is the ingenuity in applying the shape to tools. I imagine other things in nature inspired the circle as well like water droplets, ripples in a still body of water, and even the eyeball.
Anyway, I started appreciating the genius ways we use circles, and it relaxed my irritability. Maybe overanalyzing shapes is a new calming device.
