I feel like I’m better off alone during this phase in my life. I am working on accepting the idea by saying it out loud — like in a publicly shared journal post, for example.
I don’t have the tolerance to endure the compromises in a romantic relationship. To be clear, I’m not saying I’m incapable. What I’m saying is that my focus is on professional success and building professional relationships.
So, I won’t be making plans for Valentine’s Day, and I’m good with that — especially the part where I’ll be saving money.
