This year, Apple is releasing a new MacBook Pro design, and they’re bringing back the magnetic charging port (MagSafe®️).
I’ve wanted to replace my 2015 MacBook Pro for a long time now, but I really didn’t like that the new MacBook pros came with a bizzare Touch Bar (seemed like a waste of real estate) and that I’d be forced to use one of my four USB-C ports as a charger connection.
The USB-C charging seems like a step back in the technology — like when Apple got rid of audio ports on iphones making it impossible to both charge your phone and also plug it into a speaker connection.
So, yes I am genuinely happy that I did not replace my Apple laptop last year. I think I saved myself a major moment of being pissed off when I would eventually hear the news that Apple is releasing a far superior product in 2021.
I’m easy to please: make computer products that move forward in technology.
