“Your beard is getting more whiter”

At breakfast, my 5 year old says with a smile “Dad, your beard is getting more whiter”. I said “It is?” She continued, “You might die if you get to be an old man.”

What I appreciate about her beard comment is that she smiled while saying it. That’s how you deliver a criticism with the kind of charm and charisma that can’t be taught. It was very tactfully done.

I smiled proudly and assured my daughter that I have at least another 40 years.
