I am actively trying to rebuild my self-esteem, self-confidence, inner peace, and whatnotbut literally every point of friction with my kids’ mom reminds me of the biggest error I’ve made in my life so far
It’s unlikely anyone will ask me for marriage advice, so I’ll volunteer some. Take as much time as you need to feel objectively confident in the strength of that relationship before legally binding yourself to someone. Stay best friends, stay friends with benefits, stay roommates, stay engaged as long as you need to
To address the ‘error’ comment before someone inevitably assumes I’m calling my kids a mistake:
My kids are dope. However, any healthy woman of Childbearing age could have given birth to an Aiden and a Maddalyn.
The error was agreeing to lawful marriage too soon in that relationship. I have decades to endure the repercussions of one error. One decision.
Right. So, that’s as much marital/pre-marital advice as I’m qualified to give.
