My daughter turns 5 next month. Today, she showed off her math skills to me. 2 + 2 – nailed it! 1 + 5 – killed it! I told her she is SO ready for kindergarten.
Both of my kids have math skills now, and I couldn’t be more happy about that. Math is everything.
Kindergarten next season
My daughter will start kindergarten next year. Of course, I wanted her to start this year at 4 like I did with my December birthday.
She has the aptitude, but she doesn’t have the behavioral skills — not for a public school system at least.
It’ll work out. I can honestly say from experience that the only benefit of my being young in K through 12 was that I got to finish early.
