I wanted to say something about reminding myself more often about the life experience and exposure to cultures I’ve been fortunate to have so I can prevent myself arguing with someone who’s world view has been shaped by living in only the southeast part of the U.S.
But I can’t figure out a way to articulate my point without sounding condescending. I think even if I could find a less pretentious way to say it then it would still seem condescending because Internet.
If this helps someone, consider your life experience and your upbringing before engaging someone in an argument over the Internet. Maybe you’ll realize pretty quickly that you just don’t relate.
