My dad gave me lessons on initiative and hard work. In the military, I learned a lot more about both, because it wasn’t an option.

I unsubscribed from hard work around (exactly) assignment number 4. The conflict was that I liked hard work and challenges. The answer was to go hard at every thing except work to help me sleep at night.

Retirement gave me a chance to mix both worlds: choose the work I do; choose for what I give 100%.

    Forgive me a few things while I move with my head down:

  • Short/curt/brief/asshole responses
  • Late response/no response
  • Showing late/no show
  • Scheduling everything — literally
  • Venting*

*Zero sarcasm. Writing works for me like hitting a punching bag or weights. It gets things off my mind. I’m lighter after
