Today, I had a thought that maybe it’s not fair or healthy to expect a person to sympathize with my problems.
Because no one person is responsible for resolving the problems of another person, I think we shouldn’t share a problem with anyone who isn’t equipped to help us resolve the problem.
The State of Race
Specifically, I’ve been thinking about cultural relations and conflicts. I’m intentionally not using the word race, because it’s not a real thing. (Race is a divisive instrument, a social class structure rooted in a person or group’s physical qualities. I’m not being sarcastic look up the definition right now. I’ll wait…)
To alleviate stress, I’m deciding to no longer take offense when members outside my cultural group do not rally behind my beliefs – or crusades.
