The Kids and I Make up Names for Things

Today, I thought about one of my favorite parts of being a dad.

My kids go along with the names I make up for things. It’s a good laugh.

They’ll even take some things up a notch and nickname my nicknames.

I love it.

We saw a box of these in a clothing store that was going out of business. The box had no label. The heavy plush things had no tags.

The kids asked me what they were, and I said they’re Fibbly Fubbly Bubbly Dubblies. Then, we bought three of them. Mine is grey (not shown).

Later, the kids shortened the names and called them “Fubblies”. 😄😄It’s so great. I totally made up that long May, and they’ve never requested it.
