No Tolerance for Stupid Systems

To register for a community college here in Huntsville, I have to provide two transcripts. One for the school that awarded my associates degree and the other from high school.

I graduated high school in 1998.

How the hell is a 22 year old transcript valid? HOW?! Serious question.

I have an associate’s degree.

Just so happens that the transcript can only be sent to the community college via snail mail. Reaching 4 weeks since I sent the request (10-15 days to process according to the source, CCAF), the paper copy transcript still hasn’t arrived.

Seriously, I Can’t

It’s not that I hate college. I hate really, really stupid systems — antiquated, outdated, broken systems. Systems that scholarly people are expected to replace with more efficient systems.

Since editing the military, I have zero — nay! I have a negative level of tolerance for bad systems.
