I want to talk about the anxiety following military retirement.
I envision giving a speech or fascilitating an open discussion.
I need to get the thoughts out. That’s my therapy: saying things out loud so they weigh less in my head.
A couple of the main points could look like this:
- The connection between your self-esteem and being a part of the military
- Old enough to start a new career but too old to develop a new talent into a profession
- A new set of expectations for yourself for wealth, happiness, responsibility, lifestyle, and health
For now, I’m making notes about main points — the what to talk about. I’ll decide later the how to deliver it.
