Building Things Does It for Me

What gives me joy is building things.

It’s the best part. Second best part is brainstorming, I think.

That’s all I want to do: solve problems by building things.

I was thinking this morning — when I initially blew off writing — about creating a mastermind group.

It’s not the first time I’ve thought about it. I have an Evernote about names of the group, about the invitation process, and about the pitch.

As my presence online grows with blogs and clients, I’ve started to feel like my inner circle needs to be full call forward movers. I want to stack the deck with people that I already know who want to build things.

We can bounce things off of each other. We can share our experiences and skills. Also, we can invest in each other’s success.

It’s not easy to find those people in your neighborhood sometimes. In my situation particularly, I don’t live here. Although it’s been four years, I still feel like a tourist.

Today, I thought a lot about the mastermind, and I think it’s time to start pitching the ideas to my go-getters.
