BE BETTER

I see the tattoo on my left side regularly. It’s big and stretches from bottom of the armpit to the base of my love handle.

The bottom has faded quite a bit, but the top looks it could’ve been inked a few months ago.

In a serif type (looks like Cambria it Garamond) and all caps, the tattoo says “BE BETTER”. I had it drawn so I could read it in my reflection.

I wanted to be reminded that existing and not improving is not living.

Today, I looked at it, said it out loud with a question mark, then I asked myself: “What can I be better at today?”

What is one thing that I can be better at today?

I came up with a handful, but today I’m focusing on taking a break in every hour of sitting at my computer.
