Organizing Ideas for Book 1 with Evernote

Today, I continued work on Book 1 with a series of notes.

Not much is unique about that except the way that I record notes on my ideas has changed. I would use the native notes app on my iPhone, then I would save a back up in Google Docs.

It got the job done but was not very efficient. So, I moved over to Evernote which I’ve been using for over year now. It’s autosyncs between devices. You can make written notes video photos audio recordings all under the same note within the same note.

The most useful feature to me is the vice, because with a free account you can see three devices – Devices that include computers where you can use Evernote desktop app.

It’s one of those really smart applications that I kind a wish I was helping out with or supporting on a Developer level in some way. I love it.

Slack is another one of those smart tools. It’s not in the same genre of applications as Evernote, but it’s got really smart, forward/thinking people behind it.

Where was I going with all of this? Right, right – I’m keeping notes in Evernote to better arrange my notes. With Book 1, today I wrote pieces of the Preface or Introduction. I’m still learning book terms, and I’m not sure which is written by a third-party and which is written by the author between a preface, intro, and foreword.

We’ll get there.
