I was heavy into the moving pictures as a kid.
I watched a lot of tv. In fact, I would watch tv until someone told me to stop.
I liked the moving pictures. I liked the sound, the art of pretending, the stories. For me, there was nothing more satisfying than momentarily being swept into someone else’s imagination on screen.
Today, I still love film and tv. Only now, I just have a little more self control – and responsibilities. I’m more choosey about the quality of pictures. Also, I want to be on the creating end of the moving pictures process.
Here’s the NyQuil slogan that I’ve remembered since watching tv in the 80s:
“NyQuil! The night time, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy-headed, fever so you can rest better medicine.”
If that’s not completely spot on, shut up.
One day, I’d like to go on a game show where you earn points by guessing the name of a tv show when the theme music is played.
I’d win. I’d definitely win.
